The Birthday Draw

Launched 12 January 2026 by ITV and Global with a £1m weekly jackpot. Entries cost £1 or are free by post, include personalised fields (date, initial, colour) and allow up to 60 entries per draw.

Why 3.5/10?

The draw is not signed to the DCMS Voluntary Code while peers (BOTB, Omaze, Daymade, Raffolux, Raffle House) joined at launch. ITV/Global launched six weeks later and have not signed, opting out in their press release. There are no published odds, no spend-limit tools, and no responsible-play monitoring despite the 60-entry weekly allowance.

What it does well
  • Free postal entry route and £1 minimum entry.
  • Backed by trusted ITV & Global broadcasters.
  • Clear draw mechanic with full T&Cs published.
  • Winners signposted to financial advice.
What it needs to improve

Add voluntary-code compliance, publish odds, and introduce spend limits and responsible-play alerts so the high-entry cadence does not expose entrants to unmanaged spending.

3.5

Current rating

3.5/10 — to be re-assessed once the Code is signed

Verdict

Legitimate, free-to-enter, ITV/Global backed draw yet outside the DCMS Voluntary Code. Score remains 3.5/10 pending compliance; we will revisit if they sign before May 2026.
