Is Prize Wise Legit?

Short answer: yes. But you should know exactly what Prize Wise is — and what it is not — before relying on anything we publish.

What Prize Wise Is

Prize Wise is an independent review and comparison website for UK prize draw operators. We review, score, and rank 484+ operators across five objective criteria: Trustpilot reputation, UKGC Voluntary Code compliance, platform maturity, niche depth, and broadcast reach.

We publish our scoring methodology in full so anyone can audit how an operator's score was calculated. Every score breakdown is visible on the operator's review page.

What Prize Wise Is Not

This is important:

• We are not a prize draw operator. We do not run draws, sell tickets, or award prizes.
• We do not process payments. No financial transactions happen on prize-wise.com. You cannot buy anything here.
• We are not a gambling site. Prize draws are free-to-enter skill competitions, and our site is a review platform — doubly removed from anything resembling gambling.

Domain Name Confusion

You may have seen scam-checker sites reviewing similarly-named domains — prizewise.com, prizewise.net, or internationalprizewise.com. These are different websites with no connection to us.

Our domain is prize-wise.com (with a hyphen). We have no affiliation with any other domain or brand using the "prizewise" name without a hyphen.

If you are verifying our legitimacy, check that you are on https://prize-wise.com — this is the only domain we operate.

How We Maintain Independence

Our revenue model and editorial policy are designed to avoid conflicts of interest:

• No operator can influence their score. Scores are calculated from public data (Trustpilot, UKGC signatory lists, platform analysis) using a fixed, published methodology.
• No paid placements. The operator rankings on Prize Wise are determined entirely by score. An operator scoring 4.2 cannot pay to appear above an operator scoring 6.7.
• Public methodology. Our five-pillar scoring system is documented on the methodology page. If you disagree with a score, you can see exactly which dimensions contributed to it.
• Daily updates. Trustpilot data and operator status are refreshed regularly. Scores change when underlying data changes — not when someone contacts us.

What Data We Collect

Very little. Prize Wise is a static informational website. We do not operate user accounts, process payments, or collect form submissions. The full details are in our privacy policy, but in summary:

• Anonymised analytics (page views, session duration) — no personally identifiable information
• Email correspondence if you contact us
• Standard web server logs, retained for up to 30 days

We do not sell data, run advertising, or share information with third parties beyond basic analytics infrastructure.
